Installation Devices – Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDD)

AFDDs Ex9NLA EL, 6 kA
  • Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) with integrated Residual Current Function (Interruttore automatico per Rilevamento Guasto d’Arco con funzione Differenziale Integrata)

  • Rated breaking capacity $I_{cn}$ 6 kA (Potere di interruzione nominale $I_{cn}$ 6 kA)

  • 2-pole version (Versione a 2 poli)

  • Rated residual current 30 mA (Corrente differenziale nominale 30 mA)

  • Rated current up to 32 A (Corrente nominale fino a 32 A)

  • B and C tripping characteristics of the installed MCB (Caratteristiche di intervento B e C dell’interruttore automatico installato)

  • Integrated Type A RCD (RCD integrato di tipo A)

  • Width: 3 modules (Larghezza 3 moduli)

  • Suitable for applications from -25 to +40 °C (Adatto per applicazioni da -25 a +40 °C)

Ex9NLA EL voltage-dependent arc fault detection breakers with residual current function are suitable for both residential and industrial applications. They are based on an electronic evaluation principle that allows for more precise measurement of residual current. These devices provide protection against overloads, short circuits, leakage currents, and arc faults. This unit offers comprehensive protection for all types of applications in a compact three-module width solution.

These devices are not affected by the magnetization of the tripping unit. Therefore, there is no mandatory test period, although they must be verified regularly. The use and frequency of testing may be subject to local laws or regulations. It is recommended to perform the test every 6 months in normal environments and every month under harsh conditions.
